When I enquired from my colleagues about the finest family restaurant near me, I heard about Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba multiple times. But that wasn’t enough for me. Being an explorer all through my life I went on hunting various North Indian Restaurants near me. And coincidentally after dining at least 10, I couldn’t agree more with my mates. This best north indian restaurant helped ease my food cravings and manage my sickness. Let’s rate this out of 10 on various aspects to know why I find it to be the best restaurant near me.
Segments worth Praising at CCDD
Let’s have a look over a few sections CCDD rolls like no other and that make this restaurant the best in your vicinity:
1. Food Quality- 10/10
If I have to rate any restaurant in the world, there’s a rule that I follow. I go on tasting its most basic dishes first. When I tasted food at this family restaurant near me, the things that I ordered first were Dal Tadka and Paneer Tikka Masala along with open flame Phulkas. And let me tell you, this was just the start. Having been in a group of 5, I hadn’t found such a restaurant after living here for 6 months. The dal tasted more mom-made than a restaurant made. The spices were mild, oil in moderation, and the garnishing was mind-blowing. It was served in a beautiful steel utensil. When we took the first bite of Phulkas, it made all of us nostalgic. It felt like we were at home, enjoying our comfort meal. The paneer in Paneer Tikka masala was very soft and the taste was mind-boggling. It felt like why I didn’t find this Indian restaurant near me much earlier. After the main course meal, it was time for Gulab Jamun. Originally coming from North India, I had the privilege to taste almost every variety of it. I can undeniably claim that Gulab Jamun at Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba was tastier than most of the North Indian restaurants here in Bangalore. Having satisfied our hunger, we gave it:
10/10 on Taste
10/10 on Spices used in Moderation
10/10 on Authentic Recipe Followed (In almost every dish tasted)
2. Ambience- 10/10
Can you think of enjoying a vibe like a dhaba while staying in a packed city like Bangalore? Of all the restaurants near me, the one thing that I missed was the open space area. Even if the food in many restaurants was amazing, the ambience was mostly off. And how could you enjoy the food if you didn’t like the aura? When we entered Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba, the one thing that enticed us the most was the whole restaurant setting. It is a replica of a traditional North-Indian dhaba. The seating was quite managed with all the dhaba-like furnishings. The traditional Charpoi stole the charm first. It had a wooden division in between with utensils placed over it. Besides Charpai, the traditional Moodah seating was another attraction. Everyone dining there was sitting comfortably like at home unlike in a formal restaurant seating. The colourful ceiling décor and hanging lanterns in the restaurant give a traditional North Indian Fare-like feeling. All in all, of all the restaurants near me, Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba felt like a breath of fresh air.
10/10 on Décor
10/10 on Traditional Furnishings
10/10 on spotless steel utensils (The ones you find in a traditional Dhaba)
3. Hygiene and Service 10/10
Ever since the world came to a halt 4 years back, what matters in the restaurants near me, along with food quality and the ambience is hygiene. I have always been very particular about cleanliness, especially in restaurants. And it would not be wrong to conclude that sometimes high-profile restaurants fail on the cleanliness part, despite serving the best dishes. Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba was an exception. The first experience itself was out of the world. While we entered the space, everything lying there was spick and span. The floors were sparkling clean with a very mild fragrance. And what got all the attention was the steel utensils. Every utensil felt like a brand new one, gleaming in ecstasy. The tables were decently clean with no leftovers. The curtains, and table covers were all neat and clean, without a hint of dirt on them. Of everything first-class there, what I liked most was their sanitation service. There was no real-time gap between the time a customer left and a striking clean table. The waiting time was all properly managed. Even if the people were waiting to get a table, the staff was seen serving them with a smile on their faces.
10/10 on Hygiene
10/10 on Service

Concluding with a delightful heart, I found Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba the best north indian restaurant near me in all aspects. And if you are a North Indian living in this beautiful city for work or any other reason, this can be the best escape on weekends for a mom-like and home-like food
